Definitie
In deze algemene voorwaarden wordt verstaan onder:
a. Down the hatch: Down the hatch gevestigd aan de Populierendreef 966, 2272 HW Voorburg, Kvknummer 69733406. www.downthehatch.nl / [email protected] .
b. Klant: de natuurlijke persoon of rechtspersoon die de overeenkomst aangaat met Down the hatch oftewel een boeking heeft gemaakt via www.downthehatch.nl of www.down-the-hatch.nl
c. Deelnemer: iedere persoon die deelneemt aan het spel op de locatie van Down the hatch.

Definition
In these Terms and Conditions you will find the following definitions:
a. Down the hatch: Down the hatch located at Populierendreef 966, 2272 HW Voorburg, Kvknummer 69733406. www.downthehatch.nl / [email protected] .
b. Customer: The person or organisation that made the reservation via www.downthehatch.nl or www.down-the-hatch.nl
c. Participant: Every player that will participate in the games of Down the hatch at their location.

Toepasselijkheid
Dit document bevat de algemene voorwaarden die van toepassing zijn op deelnemers van de activiteiten van Down The Hatch, maar ook op klant die de boeking maakt via onze website. Door een boeking te plaatsen via de website van Down The Hatch gaat u akkoord met deze algemene voorwaarden.

Applicability
This document contains the Terms & Conditions which are applicable for everybody who will participate in the activities from Down The Hatch, but also to the customer making the booking via our website. By making a reservation via the website from Down The Hatch you agree with these Terms & Conditions.

Het Spel
Down The Hatch organiseert de spelactiviteit Escape Room. Binnen het concept wordt een groep van minimaal twee (2) tot en met vijf (5) personen “opgesloten” in een kamer. Het doel van het spel is om de kamer binnen 90 minuten te verlaten. In de kamer zijn diverse raadsels, puzzels en andere aanwijzingen verstopt. Het oplossen van alle puzzels moet leiden tot het vinden van de uitgang waardoor “ontsnapt” kan worden uit de kamer.

The Game
Down The Hatch organizes the game activity Escape Room. Within this concept a group of two (2) to five (5) persons will be “locked” inside a room. The purpose of the game is to escape from this room within 90 minutes. The room contains riddles, puzzles and other hints. By solving all puzzles and riddles, the exit can be found and an escape will be possible.

Deelname
Het spel is geschikt voor iedereen vanaf 16 jaar. Deelname is mogelijk voor groepen van twee (2) tot en met vijf (5) personen. Er worden geen uitzonderingen gemaakt. We hebben het recht Deelnemers niet te laten meespelen als zij niet de juiste leeftijd hebben.

Participation
The Game is suited for everybody who is 16 years old. Participation is possible for groups from two (2) to five (5) persons. No exceptions are made. Down the hatch has the right to refuse the participants with the incorrect age.

De speelduur is 90 minuten. Deze duur kan niet worden verlengd.

The game will take 90 minutes and cannot be extended.

Veiligheid
De groep wordt “opgesloten” in de kamer. Dit betekent dat de deur achter u op slot gaat met een electro magnetisch slot. Ingeval van nood zijn er noodknoppen geplaatst in de escape room welke de deuren openen.  Gedurende het spel wordt de ruimte door middel van een camera in de gaten gehouden en hangt er een microfoon om mee te luisteren. Dit maakt het mogelijk om te allen tijde, bij het voordoen van enige calamiteiten, direct de deur te kunnen openen of in te kunnen grijpen. Daarnaast is de escape room voorzien van noodverlichting en vluchtroutes.

Safety
The group will be locked inside the room. This means that the door will be locked , with an electromagnetic lock, behind you. There are several  emergency buttons inside the escape room which opens the door immediately. In the room there are several cameras and microphones to follow your escape. This makes it possible for Down The Hatch to open the door at anytime or react when calamities will occur. The escape room has emergency lights and emergency routes.

Eten & Drinken
Op de locatie worden dranken en kleine versnaperingen verkocht. Het nuttigen van eigen consumpties is daardoor helaas niet toegestaan.

Food & Drinks
At the location, drinks and small snacks are available. Consuming your own drinks and food is not allowed.

Drugs, alcoholgebruik en veiligheid
Het gebruik van drugs is niet toegestaan. Bij verdenking van drugsgebruik behoudt het personeel van Down The Hatch het recht de persoon in kwestie niet te laten meespelen en te verwijderen uit het pand. Dit geldt ook voor alcoholgebruik. Voor het spelen van een Escape room kunt u niet aangeschoten of dronken zijn. Wanneer het personeel van Down The Hatch van mening is dat u aangeschoten of dronken bent, houden zij het recht u niet te laten meespelen en te verwijderen uit het pand.

Drugs, Alcohol and Safety
The use of drugs is forbidden. By suspiscion  of drugs use, the staff of Down The Hatch has the right to refuse the persons in question from playing the game and may remove them from the building. Same is applicable for drinking Alcoholic beverages. When the staff of Down The Hatch thinks you are tipsy or drunk, they have the right to refuse the persons in question from playing the game and may remove them from the building.

Reserveren
Reserveren is verplicht. Een reservering kan gemaakt worden via onze website. Een reservering wordt gedaan voor het aantal personen dat aan het spel deelneemt. Er geldt een minimum van twee (2) personen en een maximum van vijf (5) personen per spel. Voor grotere groepen moet contact worden opgenomen met Down the Hatch via de website. Uitzonderingen worden er niet gemaakt.

Reservation
A reservation is required. A reservation can be made via website from Down The Hatch. Reservations must be done for the number of players that will participate in the game. There is a minimum of two (2) to a maximum of five (5) persons per game.  For bigger groups you need to contact Escape Room Down The Hatch via website. No exceptions are made.

Wijzigen of annuleren
– Bij annulering door klant of deelnemer van een boeking zal te allen tijde 7,50 euro in rekening gebracht worden voor administratiekosten. Dit geldt per gemaakte boeking.
– Het wijzigen of annuleren van uw reservering door klant of deelnemer kan zo goed als kosteloos tot 7 dagen vóór het door u gereserveerde spel.
– Bij annulering/wijziging van uw reservering door klant of deelnemer binnen 7 dagen tot 72 uur voor uw escape start, oftewel buiten de kosteloze annuleringstermijn, brengt Down the hatch 50 euro in rekening.
– Wijzigt of annuleert de klant of deelnemer binnen de 72 uur voor uw escape start dan zijn wij genoodzaakt het hele bedrag in rekening te brengen.

Wanneer Down the hatch onverwacht gesloten moet worden door hogere macht, wegens onmacht of het uitbreken van een wereldwijd virus zal uw boeking worden omgezet in een tegoedbon/een verplaatsing. Terugbetaling van de boeking zal niet gebeuren, maar u krijgt de mogelijkheid uw boeking te verplaatsen.

Changing/Cancelation
– For every cancellation by customer or participant an administration fee of 7,50 euro will be charged per booking.
– Changing/cancelling your reservation is possible till 7 days before your escape starts. After this (cancelation or changing your booking within 7 days up to 72 hours for your escape starts) Down The Hatch has the right to charge you 50 euro.
-Cancelation or changing your reservation within in 72 hours before your escape starts will cost you the full amount. 

When Down the hatch is forced to be closed by the government , because of a worldwide virus outbreak, your booking will be replaced. There will not be a refund but you will receive a giftcard and your booking will be replaced to a new date.

Aanvangstijd
De tijd die in de bevestiging van uw reservering wordt aangegeven is de aanvangstijd van het door u gereserveerde spel. Wij verzoeken u daarom vriendelijk om minimaal tien (10) minuten van tevoren aanwezig te zijn voor een korte introductie. Bij te laat komen kan er niet meer aan het spel worden deelgenomen. Down The Hatch behoudt zich in het geval van te laat komen tevens het recht het verschuldigde groepstarief volledig te incasseren of te behouden. Dit laatste is ook van toepassing indien de deelnemers niet komen opdagen.

Time
The time confirmed in your reservation is the start time of your escape. We kindly ask you to be 10 minutes early for a small introduction. When you are too late, the game cannot be played anymore.  Down The Hatch has the right to charge you the full amount of your reservation when you are too late. This is also applicable when the participants do not show up at all.

Betaling
Betaling dient te geschieden bij reservering. Prijzen op de website van Down The Hatch zijn inclusief 9% BTW.

Payment
Payment must be done by reservation. Prices on the website are included 9% VAT .

Aansprakelijkheid
Down The Hatch houdt zich niet verantwoordelijk voor diefstal en/of beschadiging aan persoonlijke eigendommen. In de ontvangstruimte is plaats om tassen, jassen/ waardevolle spullen achter te laten. Het gebruik van persoonlijke spullen tijdens het spel is niet toegestaan en moeten tijdens het spel in een kist met slot worden opgeborgen. Na het spel kunt u de kist weer openen en de persoonlijke spullen weer pakken. Down the hatch kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor letsel aan u of uw medespelers, waar wij geen invloed op kunnen uitoefenen. Tijdens het spel wordt verwacht om met respect met onze spullen om te gaan en geen kracht te gebruiken. 

Responsibility &Liability
Down The Hatch is not responsible for theft or damage of your personal belongings. You can hang your jackets in the waiting room. The use of personal belongings during the game is forbidden. During the Game you must put these belongings in a box with a lock. After the game you can take your personal belongings again. Down the hatch cannot be held liable for injuries to you or your fellow players over which we have no influence. During the game we are expected to handle our belongings with respect and not to use force.

Eigen risico
Tijdens het doorzoeken van de kamer dienen onder anderen decoratieve elementen te worden verwijderd/verplaatst, ruimtes worden geopend en schakelaars worden omgehaald . Hierdoor is er een minimaal risico op letsel dat niet kan worden uitgesloten. Deelname aan de spelactiviteiten geschiedt te allen tijde op eigen risico. Eventueel lichamelijk letsel of kledingschade opgelopen tijdens een bezoek aan/ spelen van een escape room bij  Down The Hatch kan niet worden verhaald op het bedrijf. Dit omdat wij geen invloed hebben op uw beweging/verplaatsing in/door de kamer. Weet dat u de kamer altijd van te voren op een andere dag mag komen bekijken echter haalt dit wel het element van verrassing weg.

Own Risk
During the game you will search for hints, puzzles and decorative elements need to be moved/removed, spaces need to be opened and switches must be pulled down. Therefore there is a minimal risk on injuries or damage which cannot be excluded. Participation in Escape Room Down The Hatch is at your own risk. Any damage to your body/clothes which is caught during the game or visit at Down The Hatch cannot be charged to  or will not be paid by Down the Hatch. This is because we do not have any influence on your movement during the game. You are always allowed to inspect the room upfront, but know that this will take away the element of surprise.

Instructies
Instructies en aanwijzingen van het personeel dienen te allen tijde te worden opgevolgd door alle deelnemers. Wanneer hier geen gehoor aan wordt gegeven behoudt het personeel van Down The Hatch het recht u te verwijderen uit het gebouw. Wanneer dit gebeurt ontvangt u ook geen teruggave van het betaalde bedrag.

Instructions
Instructions from the Staff of Down The Hatch must be followed by all participants. When a group or person does not listen to the staff of Down The Hatch, Down The hatch has the right to remove you from the building and/or refuse you from playing the game. When this happens there will not be a refund.

Schade
Down The Hatch behoudt het recht om eventuele schade aan haar eigendommen te verhalen op de veroorzaker daarvan. Hieronder valt ook misbruik van het brandalarm en schade aan de brandpreventiemiddelen. Bij diefstal zal de politie worden ingeschakeld.

Damage
Down The Hatch has the right to charge you for possible damage you have done to our Property. This include using the Fire alarm when it is not necessary or damage to fire control assets. In case of theft, the police will be involved.

Mailing
Door bij ons te reserveren, zult u een email ontvangen wanneer onze nieuwe belevingen worden gebouwd/aangekondigd.
